Dave Neal is the mastermind behind Vision Beyond. He has extensive experience and qualifications in mental performance coaching, plus a true passion for helping others improve their game. Dave enjoys teaching people and seeing them succeed—and many clients of all ages and all backgrounds have achieved great results through his training.

He is a Certified Level II Instructor of Mental Management Systems . As a certified instructor, he understands the underlying techniques for improving anyone’s mental game. Furthermore, he has the experience to help clients achieve consistency in and outside of competition. His goal is to help you become more self-assured and develop the mental toughness for success. Mental Training for Any Sport

Over the years, Dave has coached athletes from the following fields:

Dave has an extensive background in softball since he was a volunteer softball coach for 5 ½ years with the College of Southern Idaho for 5 years (CSI) team, which reached the national top 10 rankings. Regardless of what you complete in, Dave’s mental training program for athletes remains fundamentally the same because the mental conditions for success are similar in every sport. That said, he approaches his work with integrity and never teaches anything he isn’t confident about. If he’s unsure about the specifics of your sport, he will contact an expert and get the correct answer.

Conducted Boot Camps

  • 3 Years with Valley High School Football, Won State Championship
  • 1 Year with Canyon Ridge High School Volleyball – Went to State
  • 1 Year with Wendell High School Girl’s Basketball Team
  • Boot Camps are conducted for teams, usually 3, two hours sessions
  • 2 years Gooding High School  Softball went to State and placed 3rd.
  • 2 yrs Canyon Ridge High School volleyball  team qualified for State.
  • 2025 Show Low High School softball team made it to Arizona State semi-finials game.

Law Enforcement and Military Experience

  • 37 Years in Law Enforcement
  • Retired Captain with the Idaho State Police
  • Commander of the ISP SWAT Team for 10 Years
  • Directly Involved in Operations of 11 ISP Academies
  • Served 24 Years with the Idaho Army National Guard, Retired as First Sergeant
  • Course Manager for 3 Military Classes in Kosovo – 2007
